A custom tattoo is a design created for you, from your idea, references and placement, rather than copied from a flash sheet or someone else’s tattoo. At Soulraven Studios custom work begins with a J$2,000 in-studio consultation, after which the design is developed and the appointment secured with a 50% deposit.
Most of what leaves the studio is custom. The process is simple: tell us the idea and what it means, send references for the subject and the feel, and bring a placement photo. At the consultation the size, composition and sessions are agreed and the price is quoted. The design is then developed for your body, and the appointment is booked with a deposit.
Custom does not have to mean large. A small piece designed properly for its placement is still custom work. It does mean the design is yours, drawn once, for you.
Consultations for custom, large and cover-up work are J$2,000, in the studio. A 50% deposit secures your date.

Will I see the design before the appointment?
The design is reviewed with you and adjusted before the stencil goes on, and small changes are made in the studio on the day. Ask at the consultation how and when you will see the drawing.
Can I get a tattoo I saw on Instagram?
The studio will reinterpret the idea in its own hand rather than copy another artist’s tattoo line for line, which is standard practice and means the piece is yours.
